Saturday, June 1, 2024 -- Fixed the Drooping Gate

| Gate was drooping. The bottom was dragging on the ground. The gate wouldn't shut right. Interfered with the fixed gate. The latch also didn't match. |

| The upper anchor was pulling out. I've "fixed" it several times before but it wouldn't stay fixed. This time, I got some hardware to fix it. |

| 1/2" ratchet set. The sockets work on both Metric and SAE hardware. |
 |
| Six inch long bolts. Need longer bolts to improve overlap with the anchors. |
 |
| The upper anchor hole is too large at the surface. Need longer anchors to engate deeper into the stucco wall. |
 |
| Had previously tried to improve the anchor engagement by putting some spacers around the existing anchors. |
 |
| Got some longer lag bolts at the local hardware store. These are 7". |
 |
| These are 8" long. |
 |
| Also got some larger and longer anchors. |
 |
| Took out the old anchors/spacers and installed the larger and longer anchors. |
 |
| After installing the new hardware. |
 |
| Gap at the top anchor eliminated. |
 |
| Also lubricated the hinge pins. The gate works well now. We'll see if it stays fixed this time... |
