June 19, 2022 - Sunday - LBASM -- Part 1
One of the first vendors when I stepped into the swap meet had some interesting automotive memorabilia.
I have the GM paperweight commemorating their first 50 millions cars in 1954.
The radiator cap base with the wings is very cool.
At the bottom is a Peerless radiator shaped pin/badge.
The Nash pin is also very cool.
Another very cool radiator cap/base with round stone knobs.
The Boyce meter to the right is also very unusual and cool.
MGB -- Passenger Door Trim Panel Tear -- Repair
This tear in the passenger door trim panel was there when I got the car.
I had repaired it when I first got the car by gluing it down.
But, over time it came loose again.
Used contact cement to glue it back in place again.
I let it dry for 30 minutes to ensure maximum adhesion strength.
After sticking it down.
We'll see how long it lasts...
Sunday, May 29, 2022 -- Long Beach Antique Swap Meet -- Part 19 - Mercedes-Benz Type 190 Brochure
When Mercedes-Benz came to the US market after the war, Studebaker-Packard was the US distributor.
Sold through Studebaker dealers... Including the 300SL Gullwing...
It's hard to imagine today that the 300SL was sold through Studebaker dealers...
