Before Repair (lots of crash damage!)
After repair

This is a cover for the brake lever "beauty cover" from a Shimano Dura Ace brake/shift lever assembly. I hammered it back into about the right shape & smoothed the surface. I didn't "polish" it to a mirror finish like the original finish but it's close enough that if it was put back on a bike, it would blend in enough to not be too noticeable. |
As this picture shows, the difference in the finish is not too bad, from a distance. |

Putting the repaired cover back on a lever. |
Even in a closeup picture like this, the repair looks presentable. |
Here's another damaged lever with a dented cover (& road rash on other plastic parts & a little bit of damage on the lever itself). I'll try to fix this to make it presentable again. |
The lever on the left has a very slightly damaged cover also. Will improve it also. |
