Replacing the tub stopper lever
Been in the house for 27 years. The tub stopper is badly corroded and it's not holding position properly... Need to replace |
The two screws came out without drama (took some torque to get them to break loose but the threads were OK). This is the whole assembly that came out of the hole in the tub. |
Just needed to slightly open up the metal rod to get it to come off the lever. |
Simply attach the rod to the lever... |
There's a lot of hard water mineral deposits around the hole. |
Cleaned off the hard water deposits. |
Installed the new lever. |
Cleaned the downspout of hard water deposits also. Finished. |
