Reserved an SUV with Hertz.
It cost a little bit more than a "car" but with the local weather/road conditions, it was worth it.
Turned out to be a Toyota 4-Runner with the full 4WD package.
Nice.
Due to the road conditions, which weren't too terrible, left it in 4-high the whole time.
Not so nice is a cracked windshield and some minor damage on the right rear, which were pointed out by the person behind the counter when picking up the keys.
The body damage was no big deal.
The windshield crack, although not in the driver's main line of sight was a bit distracting.
Got used to it though.
They put gravel/dirt on the roads for traction so not too surprising that cars get windshield cracks.
Had 27,578 miles on it.
Not so many miles for a rental.
The LF tire pressure was slightly low (the other were slightly high) but wasn't a problem.
The slight bit of body damage on the right rear.
It's nearly the perfect vehicle for the conditions though.
