Sunday, November 21, 2021 -- Rewrapping the bar tape on the LH (non-drive) side

Lost the end cap during the ride.

Didn't notice until it was gone...

The bar tape has been moving and is very uneven.

Will rewrap the tape (not replacing it yet).

Will take off the bar tape & rewrap in the opposite direction to how it is now (will start from the center and move to the end of the bar).

Removed the tape first.

There's a gel material that I applied where the palm of the hand would contact the bar.

This material under the bar tape cushions the hands and is effective in keeping your hands from hurting and going numb.

After rewrapping.

Tried to put more tension on the tape as I wrapped it and tried to keep the spacing even.

The tape was just a couple of inches too short so the last wrap is a bit wide.  Hopefully, with the extra tension and the cap being tight, it won't move...

Done.

 

Bally backpack purse -- After cleaning & conditioning

Used the leather cleaner (following the instructions) then let it dry overnight.

Then, the next day, applied the leather conditioner.

Will let it dry overnight again & lightly buff the leather tomorrow.

After some light cleaning...

Just a case (probably for a very small micrometer)...
