Monday, December 27, 2021 -- Zion National Park -- Part 8

SKMK & I went just a little bit past this point, then turned around.

The snow/ice on the trail was getting worse and we didn't have the best shoes for such conditions (micro-crampons would be good;  some people came prepared with them...).

The pictures don't convey the sensation of height (nearly 1,400 feet down...).

 

Saturday, December 25, 2021 -- Christmas Day -- Little Cottonwood Creek Trail, UT -- Part 1

Went on a short hike, near the Air b-n-b (about 1/2 hour away in the mountains).

The trail goes along a creek running down the valley between the mountains...

We were the first people on the trail that day (fresh snow on the ground from the night before).

 

Thursday, December 23, 2021 -- Snow Canyon State Park, UT -- Part 9

This lava tube goes a ways.

Without proper lights, we only went a little bit (30 yards?).

Can't really see anything with just the phone light...
