Monday, December 27, 2021 -- Zion National Park -- Part 7

This is looking almost straight down...

The trail clings back & forth up the side of the rock wall.

Can't really tell but there's probably a dozen switchbacks...

Looking down again..

This is where it starts getting pretty treacherous...

The trail forward...

This stretch is a rock spine with nearly shear drops on both sides of the trail.

There's more and more snow/ice as you get near the end of the trail...

Stopped at a Mexican place to pick-up dinner (& lunch for the hike tomorrow).

Volcanic.

Parts of the area is reminiscent of parts of the Big Island of Hawaii...
