Garage Organizing - part 25 - left rear corner shelving unit and the space next to the band saw...

Since I had to clear out most things from the left rear of the garage, it's a good chance to reorganize and maximize the storage in the corner shelf unit.

Pretty much packed the corner shelf unit.  The top shelf is for bicycle parts (tires, tubes, etc.).

Put three of the vintage bikes back (Schwinn Peloton, Guerciotti Aluminum & Faggin -- The Guerciotti & the Faggin are Italian brands).  I plan to swap out the handle bar on the Faggin with drop bars  I have the drop bars ready to be installed.

Reorganized some of the tool boxes below the table saw.  Three of the four tool boxes in this picture were recently moved into this area.  What was there before will go somewhere else...

There's a little bit of vertical space next to the band saw, as it makes a corner with the flat file.  Unfortunately, the base mechanism for the band saw to raise & lower the base is in the way, so I had to put some spacers (aluminum I-beams) next to the mechanism to be able to put some tool boxes in the space.

This is about as much as I can practically put into this space.

Saturday, May 16, 2020 -- Bike Path to Marina Del Rey -- Very Crowded

Many boats going out of the Marina too...

The beach itself opened for limited activity starting on Wednesday.  You're only basically supposed to walk, run or surf at the beach.  Pretty much everything else is supposed to be still not allowed.  The bike path along the shore is supposed to be closed also but I see people walking, running and riding bikes on the bike path...

It was very crowded on the bike path (Ballona Creek Path) all the way from where I start to here, where I finish.  There were a couple of close calls on the way out to the beach...  Getting more dangerous!

This is where I start the bike ride from.  This is a small rest area on my side of the Ballona Creek.  I've been doing two "laps" of the ride to the marina & back.  At each end, I take a short break (have a drink of water)...

There's three seating areas in this little "park."  I choose the spot with shade, if it's not occupied...

The red tide is basically gone now...

The variety of bikes is amazing.  You never seem to see the same bike twice...

Garage Organizing - part 24 - Moving the island flat file a few inches...

There's room to move the band saw and the island flat file over a few inches to make more room on the book case side of the garage.

View towards the back of the garage showing room for the band saw to move over a little bit.

The band saw is on wheels so it's easy to move it out of the way (had to sweep up all the sawdust under it...).

Moved the flat file over a few inches then put the band saw back...

Moved the flat files over just enough so that the drawers can still be opened without interfering with the red post.

Moved the rolling book shelf from the book case side to the end of the flat files.
