Chain installation on the Teledyne

Installed this chain on the Teledyne.  It's supposed to work on 6, 7 & 8 speed setups.  The Teledyne has a wheel on it with 7 speeds.

I had this "missing link" for connecting the chain from another chain.  It would not fit on the chain!  It's a little too narrow.  It may be for a 9 speed chain.
Had to shorten the chain.

Also have this other new chain, which also came with a "missing link."  The one on the right is from the X8 package.

The CL573R is the right size for the Z7 chain that I installed.

Missing link, as installed (it's the one with the slot in it).

The chain is still too long.  The rear deraileur has chain interference (with both the front and rear on the smallest size gears).

This is the kind of clearance needed.

Took out three more links & now it's good.

Brake Cable Adjusting Assembly -- for the Teledyne

Couldn't find these at the Whittier Swap Meet.  Bought them from a bicycle shop on eBay.  These are made by Shimano & fits Dura Ace & Ultegra.
The O-Ring goes on the bottom of the threaded shaft to keep it in place when assembled to the brakes.

Installed on the rear.

Installed on the front.

Christmas-New Years break in the UK -- Part 5 -- House Rented near Bath & Bibury (in the Cotswold)

About half of this building is what we rented.  What a nice place.  Three bed, two bath & newly built will all modern amenities...  It was almost too nice!

Open land next to the "cottage" we rented.

Dinner at a very nice local Italian restaurant.  This calzone was massive!

Driving to Bibury.  The roads are very narrow...

Drove through many small towns in the process of getting to Bibury...

Arriving in Bibury.  There's tourist around...

VW California in Bibury.
