Old California Black Plate -- Before & After straightening

After straightening.  It's not perfect but it's pretty close to flat in most places.  Have not cleaned it yet but it already looks pretty good and would display well...

Proto Tool Box -- As Acquired (free at the Buena Park Swap Meet)

It's a little rough but has a nice PROTO plate on it.
Will remove the stickers, take out most of the dents & maybe repaint it  some sort of a texture coat...  (or maybe not paint it at all...)  Will decide when I get to that point.
