Saturday, September 5, 2026 - First place in Malvern Hills (Modern flat nestled in the Malvern Hills Worcestershire)
This was the nicest place I stayed in on the whole trip.
Stayed two nights.
Basically a one bedroom apartment.
It was supposed to be about a 2.5 hour drive from Heathrow but because I kept taking the wrong turn, it took me 3.5 hours.
The first drive with a RHD car, with a manual on unfamiliar roads with unfamiliar road system/rules was pretty nerve racking.
This place was in a hilly area with extremely narrow roads (most two way streets were about 1 car wide). Finding the place in the dark was difficult, especially because Google maps tried to tell me to take a road next to the place that didn't exist!
Finally found it after a couple of circles around the place...
Should have arrived around 9:30 PM, but got there closer to 11.
