Chain Replacement

The chain is very dirty (the picture shows the quick-link).
Ran out of the dry chain lube so had switched to a wet lube a few months ago.
The wet lube tends to hold onto dirt (like a glue), whereas the dry lube tended not to, so the chain stayed cleaner.
The dry lube requires more frequent application whereas the wet lube requires more frequent chain cleaning.

New chain on the left (Shimano Dura-Ace chain)

"Missing Link" used to connect the chain (much easier than installing the pin that comes with the chain)

Had to remove the outer link to use the quick-connect link

Used the small chain link remover.

After installation of the quick-link (missing-link)

Chain fits properly to the chainring gear.
