Fixing the microwave - Part 6

Thinking of putting something between the metal tabs that will stick out and keep the claw piece from rotating.
Below the green arrow,  you can see the part of the guide that's been rubbing and is worn (this picture is with the claw piece removed).

This is with the claw piece in place and the gap between the claw piece & guide piece taken out by rotating the claw piece toward the guide.

This is with the claw piece rotated away from the guide.
The gap is significant and allows quite a bit of rotation of the claw piece.

Another option is to add thickness to the claw piece in the area that the guide contacts.
Although it would work, a simple, reliable & permanent way to attach something to the plastic piece doesn't seem so simple.
Would prefer a simpler solution.

Made a paper template to gauge the thickness of a part that could keep the claw piece from rotating.

Looking through some of the loose hardware in the garage, initially came up with some options.

This small bolt is just the right thickness (the head of the bolt is almost exactly the same thickness as the paper template).

But, it's about 1 mm too thick to fit between the metal tabs!
