Driving Museum "Cruise In" - Saturday, June 5, 2021 -- part 5






The Jaguar scrip is extremely attractively designed.
The silver on red background is also very attractive.
The "leaping cat" hood ornament is one of the best of all time.



Don't think I've seen the leaping cat on the front doors on any of the other models...
Looks a bit out of place where it is...


The license plate lamp and lens, the trunk handles are like sculpture.
The glass with the Jaguar logo "cast" into it is fantastic!


The tail lamps and the bumper are kinda clunky.
This is true of many of the Jaguars from the time...


Huge steering wheel.
Looks pre-war in design...

The tach is so far away!




Shelby had to do so many modifications to make the Mustang capable as a sports car (to what is basically an econobox Falcon bones of the car).  Pretty amazing amount of work put into these early G.T. 350s (now usually written as GT350).




Vented plexiglass rear window...

Very nice steering wheel...
