Glued a loose "splinter" on the bottom of one of the legs.
It set overnight...
After removing the clamps...
Did some light sanding to make the repair "disappear."
Both legs are 3/16" short of being 18" tall.
Will be putting on some felt pads when the bench is done so it should be pretty close to 18" tall when done.
The fit between the legs and the board is pretty good on one side of the wider leg.
The other side of the wider leg needs a little bit of sanding to make the fit better.
This is the narrower leg.
The fit on this side (towards the middle) is very good.
The other side needs some sanding also.
Sanded both legs and the fit is good afterwards (didn't take pictures).
Checking the bench for level.
First, check the top of the table saw surface for level.
There's a slope to the floor in the garage to the right so the bubble being lined up close to the left side line of the level is to be expected.
Checking the bench surface, the level reads about the same as the table saw surface.
Putting a stick across the bottoms of the two legs and checking, the bubble is about the same as the table saw surface and the board.
Thus, the height of the legs are about correct (just like the measurement with the tape measure also confirms).
