Old chain from the Miele bike -- After cleaning & ready to be installed on the Schwinn Paramount

Old chain after cleaning.  Not perfectly clean but serviceable... 

I have this missing link (silver link on the left) from a new chain that came with it. 

The brand is KMC and it's 7.1 mm width (the pin's width). 

Visually, it looks like it's the same size. 

Measuring the pin length, it's close to 7.1 mm 

Measuring the pin length on the old chain, it appears to be 7.3 mm. 

The missing link placed on top of the old chain.  Again, visually it's very close. 

The chain on the left is a new chain and the one on the right is the old chain. 

They're visually the same height... 

These are a couple of new chains.  The one on the right is the one that's in the previous picture.  The packaging says the chain is 1/2" between links and 9/32" width (7.1 mm pin width).   The new chain on the left side is also marked to be 1/2" between links and 9/32" width.  9/32" converts to 7.14 mm.

I need to remove the other pin on the link that the chain was separated from. 

After removing the link.  Now, the old chain is ready to be rejoined using a "missing link."  I'm going to order a 7.3 mm width missing link...
