Tange bike - part 8 - (Got the gooseneck off & learned something)

Was able to get the gooseneck and handle bar assembly out by twisting the assembly in the fork, while applying some vertical force while twisting...  It took many turns, but it slowly came out.

The locking nut was still sitting in the gooseneck (this was the main problem), but the long hex head bolt was missing.

Removed the locking nut

It's tapered so that it will spread the end of the gooseneck as the bolt is tightened.

There's a pressed in (& locked in) collet inside the top of the gooseneck.  This is what the hex head bolt sits on and compressed against to pull the locking nut up the gooseneck to lock the gooseneck to the fork.  What I should have done is to get a very long bolt with the right diameter and thread and thread it into the locking nut.  Then, gently tap the locking nut down to release the gooseneck from the fork...  Learning experience...
