Annual Price Transfer Hot Rod Swap Meet -- October 25, 2015 (Sunday)

Amazing Sunrise on the 405 Freeway...  Quite a few cars on the road at 6:30 AM on a Sunday...

In the #2 lane going about 75 to 80 (getting passed by faster cars in the #1 lane...)

Very small swap meet (only bought one item).  The "museum" is opened for a guided tour at 10 AM but didn't stay that long...

Fantastically thin A-Pillars & a nice low minimal instrument panel.  Almost European looking gauge cluster with a very American looking steering wheel.

Never noticed these double intakes on the rear quarter of the Continental Mark II before.  Had to have been very expensive to do on a "production" car.

Super clean front end design for an American car of the period.  Very small & subtle script for the word "Continental" showing restraint & class.

Very subtle design:  fuel cap hidden behind the LH tail lamp assembly, trunk release hidden into the rear Lincoln logo.  Exhaust exiting through the rectangular holes in the bumpers, the spare tire hump shape subtly integrated into the trunk lid shape, no body side chrome...

Very unusual instruments.  I've seen them before on some old American sedan but can't recall which car...

Not a huge fan of these late 60's/early 70's Chevy trucks but this one was modified and restored in a way that this process and style of work would make almost any vehicle for the 60's look great (even European or Japanese "cheap cars" from the period -- like a Toyota, Fiat or Renault...)

Kinda the odd-car out is this very nice VW Notchback.

The faded paint on this truck is polished, buffed & clear coated to an amazing effect...

This Graham Brothers truck was for sale for $5,000.  Looked to be amazingly original for such an old vehicle (pretty worn out though...).

I like the bucket solution.

This was just a late model Ford Ranger pickup in the parking lot.  Nice condition and very basic.  What is really nice is the vintage looking steel wheels painted a very nice industrial green color with the small chrome caps which go perfectly with the black truck (the wheels really makes this truck stand out).
