I have the right wrench (Shimano brand) to remove this part. It's usually reverse threaded (clockwise to loosen. I tried to remove it but it's pretty stuck... |
I didn't take a picture, but there's a special wrench to remove the locking ring. It took quite a bit of force to loosen this ring but it came off. |
This wrench with two pins is required to remove the bearing race. |
Once the bearing race is removed, the shaft and bearings can be removed from the LH side. Only thing left on the frame is the RH race. |
