Tools in one of the large Kennedy Fold Out Tool Box...

I think it may be some sort of checking tool for something military aircraft related.  It has air hoses (can see one at the bottom of the picture) that pass through and the air comes out of the slotted area of the bore... 

This is a ratcheting tap handle.  It's got a small knob at the top that you pull up and rotate to change the ratcheting direction 

I think it says it's made in India...

I'm not sure what this is.  It's got two spring loaded jaws that holds something while the center has a pin that can be rotated in.  It seems to work similar to a chain breaker and maybe that's what this is?

This seems to be a T-handle socket tool but it has a section near the bottom that folds out to give leverage.  I'm not sure why you need that when you have a handle that's about the same size...

This is a "saw set" that lets you angle the teeth on a saw blade to different settings.

The brand is "Boice" and it appears to be a bore checking gauge

Tuesday, April 28, 2020 -- Marina Del Rey (at the entrance to the Jetty walkway)

The beach and the jetty are still closed... 

There's been a lot of boating activity in and out of the marina... 

This is the end of the bike ride (at the entrance to the jetty).  To the right is the bridge that would take you on the bike path all the way to Palos Verdes (but the bike path from here on is closed because it runs along the beach).

Going straight for 4.5 miles, in this view, takes you along the Ballona Creek Bike Path (the creek is on the right in this picture), all the way home.

Replacing the hot water supply line to the sink in the small bathroom (before it bursts!)

Decided to replace the line with a reinforced flexible (vinyl/plastic?) line.  This hot water supply line had burst before due to the metal braided line corroding.  Luckily, I was home at the time and was able to catch it before it did any damage (it's amazing how much water flows out in a short time when a line breaks).  This line that I'm replacing again is the previously replaced line.  I think it's only been about 3 to 5 years since it was replaced. 

It's surprising that the steel braided line corrodes like this...

There's very little space to get to the bottom of the faucet.  Had to use a special "faucet" wrench to remove & install the line.

The shut off valve is old but working OK

Sunday, April 26, 2020 -- Marina Del Rey Bike Path -- Very Foggy Day at the Beach

It was sunny and warm when I left the house, but near the beach, I ran into fog.  This was a little surprising since it was early afternoon.  Even when we have coastal fog, usually it "burns off" by noon...

During this whole corona virus "stay at home" situation, the Ballona Creek Bike Path has been more busy than I've ever seen it...  It's one of the few outdoor places open still (the beach and the bike path along the beach remains closed).
