Thursday, May 12, 2022 -- Manhattan Beach Pier - Nice day (mid to low 70s) & not too windy for a change

Don't know why the flag is flying half-mast.
As the flag shows, the wind isn't as stiff as it's been the last several days.

Kennedy Tool Chest Drawer Pull - Missing

This Kennedy tool chest is missing one of the drawer pull handles.

I have this spare drawer pull made of metal (silver).
The one that's missing is plastic(brown).

The way the plastic pull mounts is different than the way the metal one does.  The plastic pull uses the large square hole in the middle to mount it (the tow small square holes on the sides are for locating matching protrusions on the plastic pull).

In order to install the metal one, the two smaller square holes in the drawer front would need to be drilled larger and round.
Decided not to modify the drawer front.  Will try to get some plastic replacement pulls.

The metal pull came with just one screw (the one with the red arrow).
Founds some similar screws in my miscellaneous hardware bins.
The two with the green arrows are just right.
If/when I need to install the metal pull on another tool chest with similar pulls, it's ready to go.

Staple in the rear tire...

As I went to add some air to the bicycle tires, I noticed this staple stuck in the rear tire.
When I pulled it out, the short leg of the staple was in the center of the tire (can see the white spot where the staple entered the tire).
I was surprised that the staple (about 2.5 mm) didn't puncture the inner tube!

I've been using Continental Gatorskins (25 mm wide) and they're been pretty good against punctures.
