As I went to add some air to the bicycle tires, I noticed this staple stuck in the rear tire.
When I pulled it out, the short leg of the staple was in the center of the tire (can see the white spot where the staple entered the tire).
I was surprised that the staple (about 2.5 mm) didn't puncture the inner tube!
I've been using Continental Gatorskins (25 mm wide) and they're been pretty good against punctures.
