Broken Porsche Mug Handle

The handle broke in tow pieces.

Bought some super glue.

Put one of the pieces back on...

Will let it sit over night before using.

Hope it can stay together so that it will at least be functional...

 

Monday, January 24, 2022 -- Manhattan Beach Pier -- Yet Another Nice Day

Around high 60s F.

Pretty empty at the pier area...

The parking lots next to the pier are nearly empty...

 

MGB Starter Button -- Replaced

The replacement switch (water proof).

Moving the wiring over...

The nut goes on first...

Then the rubber button cover also threads onto the switch.

There are six switches/displays in the center console.

Took a couple of pictures under the passenger side dash  lower area for reference.

Wiper motor.

The old starter switch.

The three thick washers (about 6 mm) were needed to space the switch back so it doesn't stick out too much.

The new switch doesn't need the spacers.

My guess is that water got into the switch through the push button area (can see some corrosion on the push button).

I'll take apart later to see if my theory is correct.

 

Small basic tool kit for CM to keep and use in her classroom

CM would prefer a small tool box/case.

I don't have a very small tool case or bag.

So, for now, just using a tool roll.

I'll replace the tool roll once I find the right box/bag.

 

Hanging wheels on the center support beam...

Cleared some space here to put up another hanger for steering wheels.

Pre-drilled two holes for the large screws for the bracket.

Ready to hand wheels on it...

First one is a carbon (top section) and leather steering wheel from the current generation Acura NSX.

It's missing the airbag center & switches.

Southampton (12th) vs. Manchester City (1st)

Southampton got out to a good start with the first goal;  played well and ended up with a tie.

 

Street Cleaning Day...

Moved the MG in the driveway for street cleaning...

 

Magnolia

Gardener came yesterday.

The lawn is as good as it gets all year...

The magnolia tree in front of the house (city tree).

They've trimmed it to this shape but used to be even wider (the branches used to hang over the driveway).

Very little wind at the pier.

But, it's actually more windy today than yesterday...

The heart rate wasn't as high as yesterday but worked much harder...

Much slower average speed than yesterday.

Felt the effects of not riding for so long.

During and after the ride, felt sore and tired!
