On the way back into Fairbanks, noticed a parking area with many cars and people.
Stopped to take a look.
Turns out people were filling large water bottles from a shed.
Assuming it's a natural spring and that the water is particularly good.
Better than buying bottled water.
If you're living out of town and using well water, it may not be as good as natural spring water for drinking.
The water at the first rental house was very good but the water at the second rental house had a slight aftertaste.
All are potable but good spring water can be really good...
Went to Costco and Safeway to stock up on some food for the rental house.
Noticed this Alaska made sausage & bought it to try.
I didn't care for it (kinda gamey).
CM & SM didn't mind.
First rental house.
It wasn't available for the whole time so staying at this one for 4 nights and 3 in another rental house.
This one is about 10 miles outside of town so it's out in the woods.
The house is around some open space and not much else.
The building on the left is the garage & we parked the car inside.
Nice to have it inside and not have to scrape any ice/snow in the morning.
View from the rental house towards the open space & hills/mountains beyond.
There's two levels (living on the upper and sleeping on the lower).
The upper level has a big deck next to the living room with a nice view.
