The oval in the picture/map shows where the board track was.
Looks like they were trying to turn the area adjacent to the track (on the the other side, west, of Overland Avenue) into a "new business center" called Studio Vista.
That area is mostly single family homes.
The south-west corner of that area is where the High School, Middle School and one of the elementary schools in located.
Looks like one of the major selling points of the proposed business center is that it's adjacent to the Pacific Electric trolley line going down the middle of Culver Blvd. (called Hollywood Redondo Blvd. on the map).
The house (built in 1929) is near the south-east corner of the "Studio Vista" area on the map.
The house wasn't built yet... (couple of more years)
