This is during the cleaning. I didn't take pictures but there were many small dents in the lid that needed hammering out. Also, the lid was bent and misaligned to the box, so it was also hammered back into shape so that the fit is better. The box bottom was bent outward so it wouldn't sit flat, so I hammered it back closer to flat so that the box will sit flat. The lock flap & tab were bent back to be straight and fit better. In the end, functionally, the box is pretty good now.
I got this box for free so just some elbow grease to make it more functional and useful again. Plus, it's Proto brand which is related to Plomb. |
