The legs need to be closer together.
I can use the curved piece at the bottom to make a bridge between the legs at the bottom...

Monday, January 4, 2021 -- Manhattan Beach Pier
The sun is peaking through the clouds in spots and lighting up the ocean in spots...
Pretty windy... Mostly blowing inland...
Most of the frame on the Cannondale is aluminum.
There's several spots on the frame where I see bubbling under the paint...
Moved the MGB across the street for street cleaning...
The new starter I installed sounds completely different from the one that I took out.
Due to federal regulations (early 1970s) dictating a minimum height for headlamps, MG raised the front end of the MGB to meet the requirement.
But, the front is too high & looks awkward.
I have some MGB front springs from before the federal regulation.
I'll install them (some day) to lower the front to what it was originally designed to be...

Dining table bench - part 13 -- Sanding the other end of the board, front edge & chamfering...
Need to sand the other end of the board (table saw marks).
After sanding...
There's a few blemished in this area of the board.
I can't sand all the way down (too much of a dip) but I can sand it down a little bit...
Started sanding the "front" edge of the board...
Chamfered the edges...
Soaking the DLC chain...
After sitting a couple of days, the sediments sink and oils go to the top.
The sediment is sitting on the chain...
After some vigorous shaking...
Saturday, January 2, 2021 -- Marina Del Rey Jetty
First time I've ever been passed by a police car on the stretch of the bike path leading to the jetty (water on both sides), with it's lights flashing and the siren going.
It stopped at the gate to the jetty.
Couldn't see what the cause of the commotion was.
Kept on riding to the Pier...

Monday, January 4, 2021 -- Taiko at the Beach?
This is the parking lot that I cut across to go from the bike path to the parking lot service road, on the way back home.
Noticed someone practicing Taiko & stopped at a distance to look.
The woman on the left was teaching the boy...
I recognized the drums and the stands. They look like they're from Asano Taiko (Torrance). I think they're renting out drums, during the pandemic.
The drums are pretty expensive.
These medium sized ones can approach $10,000...
The little orange car is a Datsun 510 2-door coupe from the early 1970s. It was an unusual car in it's day because it's kind of an economy Japanese car with RWD, independent rear suspension & a 5-speed manual trans.
It was the early 1970s, orange was a factory color option...
This one looks to be pretty modified, even from this far-away picture.
Lowered, aftermarket wheels/tires, decklid painted black. roof rack...
