| Both were brown with surface rust before sand blasting, wire brushing then putting a protective coating on... Took about 10 minutes... Then give it a couple of hours for the rubbed on coating to dry... |

| The rear drop outs are stamped COLUMBUS (known for manufacturing high quality bicycle steel tubing...) Best guess in that these were made in the 80s. Miele was a Canadian based company making bikes in Canada. Miele is also the name of a German company that made bikes from the 20s to the 60s. Don't know if the two companies are connected... |
