Don't know what's up with this little piece of rubber sticking up.
This is where the door release used to be on the 308, before they moved it into the door.
Dura Ace small crank ring - used up
I cleaned the old used up small crank ring (39 teeth) so I can see the wear pattern.
Several area of corrosion on the ring.
The teeth are "shark fin" shaped due to the wear.
With this level of wear, the chain was sometimes "skipping" teeth under load.
