SF's Garage (in RPV)

S visited my garage several times.

It was time for me to visit his.

He actually parks a car (Honda S2000) in the garage!

He has most of his stuff on wheels (router table, drill press, etc.)

We've been trading stuff between us (The Champion storage cabinet used to be mine).

We sat in the garage, had lunch and shot the breeze (mostly about where S used to work before retirement).

Met his wife J who recently retired from teaching in the Torrance School District.  CMK used to work in the same district before we had kids!  Small world...

 

Friday, October 29, 2021 -- Flat Tire...

Was about to go for the lunch ride.

The rear tire is completely flat.

Taking a closer look, the tire is pretty worn...

There's one spot where the tire is worn to the point that the casing below can be seen...

Old tire & inner tube.

New tire and inner tube installed.

Same brand and size as the old one.

25 mm width...

 

Friday, October 29, 2021 -- Manhattan Beach Pier

Can see Catalina through the haze...

The flag is still (nearly no wind...).

Fast ride.

Nearly 20 MPH average...

Sprint at the end of the ride.

Got up to 26.3 MPH (a bit faster than usual).

50% of the time at above 20 MPH.

Very unusual.

Partly due to there being very little wind today...

They don't look like container ships (don't see containers stacked on deck...).
