Manhattan Beach Pier -- August 24, 2020 (Monday) -- Finally cooler

It's finally cooler today.  About 75 F at home and around 70 F at the beach.

Back to the usual wind conditions...

Looks like they're taking down/away the outdoor seating on the street?

A little socked-in (Hermosa pier looks hazy...), which is nice.

Bay Cities Italian Deli -- Santa Monica

Picking up lunch (sandwiches).  Had to wait in line outside to get in.

Best fresh baked bread...

Didn't know that Honda made this car in the late 60s.

Air cooled, dry sump engine revving to nearly 8,000 RPM.

The wind is back but it's a little less than usual.  It's still hot and humid also (about 85 F and 70%).

Still no wind at the pier (flag in the middle)

Still weird...

I arrived at the "hang glider spot" just as they took off from the top.  I just missed them in the picture.  I thought they might catch the wind and come up but they never did.
I think it was too little wind.  On most days, there's enough wind to take them up...  On some days, it's too windy and would be dangerous to try it...
