Garage Organizing - part 63 -- Testors Paints & Panasonic Bathroom Fan

Need to find a storage solution for the Model Paint (Testors brand).

I also have this new Panasonic bathroom fan that I was hoping to replace the one in the small bathroom with, but the exhaust layout is not compatible with the one in the bathroom...  Need a different solution...

Thursday, June 11, 2020 -- Manhattan Beach Pier - Marine Layer Rolling in Mid-Day...

It's unusual to have a sunny morning then have the marine layer roll in mid-day.  Where I was standing, it was sunny but the fog was quickly rolling in...
Riding back home, I rode through the fog and it was distinctly wet and very cool...

Out beyond the lifeguard tower is Catalina...

Can barely see the end of the pier...

This direction is south and usually you can see the Palos Verdes Peninsula clearly...  Not today.

Averaged over 19 MPH today.  That's pretty fast for me.

Garage Organizing - part 62 -- Sievert (Swedish) Camping Stove

I've had this stove for a long time but never used it.

Comes with wind blockers for the sides.

Need to make/buy a connector for the propane tank to the stove...

Garage Organizing - part 61 -- Drawer rearrangement & better use of the space above the stainless steel cabinets

I moved the stuff around in this drawer to fit the white bin (in the middle of the drawer) inside...

There were three empty boxes above the stainless steel cabinets, plus this camping stove.

This is the stuff that was brought down from above the stainless steel cabinets  (the empty boxes were tossed)

Wednesday, June 10, 2020 -- Manhattan Beach Pier - Hot day

It was around 84 F when I went for a ride.  Usually, I ride at lunch time, but today I waited till the end of the day.  It was another hot day (around 90 F mid-day, with very low humidity of around 10%).  But, it was slightly cooler than yesterday.  I decided to not ride yesterday...

It's usually about 5 to 15 degrees cooler at the beach.  So, there were quite a lot of people at the beach, even late in the day on a Wednesday.

Garage Organizing - part 60 -- Hanging Baskets, Valve Covers & Moving some more stuff around

Placed these hanging baskets on the rack that the orange lamps are on.  Don't know what I'll put in them yet...

For now, this valve cover is sitting on top of one of the tool box bases.  This is from an Indycar engine & is machined from billet...

This one is aluminum but the oil fill cap is steel & has a coat of surface rust...

Pretty much cleared this counter, again...  Most of the valve covers that were sitting here went into the metal shelving unit in the corner.

Moved some more stuff onto the top of the flat files.  The stuff on the tall gray cabinet can stay but the stuff on the beige flat file need to find better homes...

The small red/white ice chest fits next to the Craftsman Circular Saw Box...

Moved these small narrow liquids here (it's actually not in the way of the drawers at all, so they can stay here, for now...)

Garage Organizing - part 59 -- Kennedy base cabinet content

This is the cabinet base that's sitting on top of the red Snap-on tool box base (which is sitting on top of the beige flat file).
The bottom drawer.  Miscellaneous old tools.  Most of the wood handle screw drivers in this drawer are very large...

The top drawer.  Mostly wrenches...

For now, I just have a large Forstner bit in this narrow bin in the tool chest above the base cabinet...

Moved the Macintosh in front of the RH end of the Lancia Dash.

Miele Bicycle -- Fork - Lower Bearing Race Installation

I brought the fork home hoping that there will be a piece of tubing somewhere in the garage that will be just the right size to help "press" the bottom bearing race onto the fork.  This is the handle to the orange floor jack.  It happens to be just the right diameter to fit the fork...

Just the right size.  Simply gently "slam" the bearing race into the jack handle repeatedly to force the race onto the bottom of the fork...

It took about 20 "slams"

The race is "pressed" onto the bottom of the fork.  Now it can be reinstalled on the frame with the rest of the headset...

Garage Organizing - part 57 -- finding homes for the Craftsman circular saw case and some gauges

Temporary homes for two Alfa Spyder gauges (on top of the Lancia dash) and one Alfa Romeo Giulia gauge (sitting where the steering column would be on the dash).  If I find better homes, I'll move these but they're OK here for now (not in the way and kinda on display).

Decided to move the Craftsman circular saw box in the space over the window.

This headlamp pod was previously hung in the rafters.  I took it down because it was too heavy and was previously hung where it was causing tool much load on the cross beam.  Need to find a new home for it... 

Garage Organizing - part 58 -- The back counter was clear but...

In order to move the Lancia dash where I wanted it, I had to move all the stuff that was waiting on the tall flat file.  Most of it ended up temporarily on the back counter.  It was nice while it was clear...

It's getting to the point that stuff is just moving from one place to another, without really getting put away...

Valve covers on top of the tool box bases for now...

More stuff needing to move (can't stay on the floor...)
