Garage Organizing - part 18 - more stuff in the garage floor that need homes...

The stuff in plastic bin will mostly fit in the flat files.  Tool boxes like this one are more difficult to deal with because you can't stack them...

As stuff is being stored in the flat files and elsewhere in the garage, more and more empty plastic bins...

Most of this stuff can find a home somewhere in the garage but the tool box is difficult... (this is a very old Snap-on tool box with a fold open front and two drawers behind it... the handle needs repair.)

I'll empty this green plastic bin and put the stuff that's inside somewhere else (don't have space for green bin anymore in the garage).

This bin has stuff from when T. was in cub scouts and did pinewood derby...

More stuff that need homes...

Garage Organizing - part 17 - stuff inside the garage looking for homes...

This small pile of stuff needs to find homes in the garage...

These chairs in front of the flat file in the middle of the garage needs some reorganizing...

The stuff on top of the "island" flat file need homes...

This is temporary.  The vacuum will go back near the corner, where it will live...

Stuff in these bins need homes...

Backyard cleanup -- Table area cleaned up and the debris pile shrinking (for now)

Getting better but still quite a bit of clearing/trimming to do...

The piles are getting smaller...

This pile is getting smaller.  Need to cut up some of this stuff into smaller pieces to better fit in the green trash can.

A pile of debris to be trashed.  The wood trellis on the right side of the picture needs to be replaced... (don't want to put the same wood stuff that will degrade over time)  Need a better solution...

Moved all the stuff that was being stored on the concrete (under a tarp) either back in the garage or combined with the other pile of stuff under a tarp outside.
There used to be a pergola above the table but it got so rotten that I took it down & trashed it.  Thinking of replacing it but instead of building one, it would be easier to buy one (to put together)...

Garage Organizing - part 16 -- Stuff that's still outside (most of it has to come back in the garage...)

Just a photo survey of what's still waiting outside to go back in the garage...

Garage Organizing - part 15 - Blue Kennedy Tackle Box, Work clothes & LH lower Cabinet

Model car & boxes in the bottom drawer

The top drawer is too shallow for much.  It could be used to store 1/87 scale model cars (perhaps in the future).

Original Kennedy label.  These tackle boxes are made of high quality aluminum and plastic so they don't have corrosion issues when used near or on the ocean.  This box is pretty rough with dents and lots of paint loss on the outside but is still functional.  The blue is a very attractive color and pretty unusual to have "wrinkle finish" paint in that color.  It would have looks pretty nice when new...

Using this old small travel case for storage

Work clothes...

This is the LH lower cabinet (There are three lower cabinets on the back wall of the garage, plus drawer units at the extreme ends of the counter.  The LH & RH lower cabinets have drawers above them.  The middle lower cabinet is not as tall and does not have a drawer above it, because the counter top is dropped down for the chop-saw.)
Labeling the boxes/cases is very helpful for later... (there's no way I'll remember where anything is...)

Monday, May 11, 2020 -- Marina Del Rey

It's a little cooler (in the high 60s) and more windy today.  The wind blows "in" so riding out to the beach is really tough...
