This type of vehicle and mods appear to be very popular in 

this nice looking resort was right next door.

Servco is the Toyota (& Subaru) distributor in Hawaii.
Similar to Gust States Toyota and South-East Toyota who distribute toyotas in certain states.
These are independent companies who own the distribution rights in certain parts of the US.
Although Toyota would like to buy the rights back from these companies, they have a good thing going and don't have any plans to sell their distribution rights back to Toyota.

When I worked at Toyota, I worked with and supported Servco people when they had certain quality issues.
