When the chain fell off the front chainring a few days ago, it got bent. Noticed it, visually, just as I was about to go for a ride...
The chain appears to bend at this point...
Put the bent chain in some cleaner to degrease...
Replaced the bent chain with a KHS DLC (diamond like coating) treated chain.
The chain is black.
It's going to be difficult to tell when the chain gets dirty...
