Broken Mavic Ksyrium ES Spoke -- Part 5 - Put it all back together

Got the piece of the nipple stuck in the extractor off.

Had to clamp a pair of pliers below the broken piece on the extractor then brace the pliers down on a vise while using a punch and hammer to get the broken piece off.

The rear wheel skewer is very dirty (lots of sand, dirt and grease).

Cleaned all the parts.

Applied grease at the ends.

Put the rim tape back in place.

Then installed the tire/inner tube back on.

Installed the skewer.

Done.

Will put it back on the bike later.

I have this spare set of Mavic Ksyrium Equipe wheels.

They use a smaller bladed spoke but with conventional nipples at the rim

I think I'll build these up with a 10-speed cassette, skewers, rim tape, inner tube & tires.

Then they'll be ready to swap in, whenever they're needed.

Can never have too may spare wheels!
