Saturday, September 28, 2024 -- Cross bars

| Set up the drill press for drilling 7/16" holes. |
 |
| Used this small back-stop to locate the frame. |
 |
| Centered the hole across the piece. |
 |
| Hole depth was set to about 1/2 way through the wood. |
 |
| Had to clear enough junk out of the way to allow the frame to be set on the drill press. |
 |
| All 6 cross bars installed. |
 |
| Sanded the piece with 100 then 180 grit paper. |
 |
| Ready for finishing. |

| I had bought this broken pieces of mahogany when I bought the poplar sticks for the frame. I glued the two pieces together. Will let it dry overnight. |
Took the clamps off the next day.
Saturday, September 28, 2024 -- Brass HInges

| Went to the local Ace hardware & bought a couple of solid brass hinges. |
 |
| Placed some rubber pads on the bottom. |
 |
| The pads have self-adhesive backs but also used a screw to keep the pads in place. |
 |
