Sports Cars Illustrated -- January 1959 - Part 2

Pretty amazing the variety of brand that were available in the US Market in the 1950s.

The Robert Bentley books ad.

Don't have these (Grand Prix Car, two volume set).
They're highly collectible and too expensive now.
Even in 1959, the set was $32 ($325 today).

MG Mitten was an accessory company whose ads I've seen going into the 1970s magazines...

They were based in San Gabriel, CA

Motor Trend 100 years of the Automobile -- Part 4

Gary Gabelich is our friend CG's cousin.
He died young...

Interesting hardtop convertible...

I really liked this car when it came out.
It had flush door glass.  First car to do so?

Sunday, August 7, 2022 -- Pasadena City College Swap Meet -- Part 6 - Dinky Toys Ford Mustang Fastback

Nicely modeled.
The best part is the hubcaps.  They pretty accurately model the original hubcaps on the 1965 Mustang.

Everything opens on this one (hood, doors & trunk).

The tips of the rear bumper are broken off.

Missing the front bumper.
But looks kind of like the Shelby front end with it missing.
