Filson backpack -- Mildew on the leather
While stored in the walk-in closet, a lot of the leather developed mildew/mold on it.
Some areas are worse than others.
Started by using leather cleaner on all the leather surfaces.
That took away the mildew.
I let it air/sun dry for a couple of hours.
Also, started lightly cleaning the waxed canvas using a plastic bristle brush.
After the leather cleaner dried, the mold is gone but the leather looks a bit dry and the finish is a bit uneven.
Using leather conditioner, rubbed all the leather surfaces with the conditioner.
After conditioning, the leather looks less dry and the finish becomes more even.
Pretty much done.
Will do some more brushing of the canvas.
