Sunday, November 28, 2021 -- Hung up the Jaguar XJS Grille in the rafters...

Most grilles today are made entirely of plastic.
But this Jaguar grille from the late 1990s/early 2000s is entirely made of metal.
The grille frame is metal and the mesh in the middle is woven metal (looks like stainless steel), with a nice rubber edging to protect from metal to metal contact.
The quality of this grille is as good or better than any I've seen for cars built in the last few decades, including on recent Bentleys, Mercedes, etc.
Too bad the typical buyer/owner doesn't really care...

Vintage Campagnolo pedals (maybe the late 60s or early 70s?)

As I was hanging up some of the old bikes, I took the pedals off of a couple of them.  If/when I decide to ride them, I'll put on "regular" pedals so that you don't have to wear biking shoes to ride...

These pedals are a bit scruffy, but I've cleaned these types of pedals before.  After cleaning (mostly with steel wool), they usually end up looking pretty good.
